First issued in 1967, Amphora is published three times per year. Alcuin members receive a complimentary copy of each magazine.
The Society’s journal covers a wide range of topics related to the book arts: collecting, typography, type design, typesetting, calligraphy, paper making, ornamentation, illustration, printing and binding, with a selection of wood engravings and wood cuts for illustration.

History
Amphora started as a simple newsletter before becoming a journal in 1968, designed by Wil Hudson and printed by Donald Atkins. It was redesigned by Robert Reid starting with the Winter 2002 issue; Jason Dewinetz subsequently provided additional design work.Submissions
