(The Alcuin Society Wayzgoose will be held Sat. Nov 4 1030-430, Central Library)
Penny Parry was born in Montreal and moved to BC in the late 1970’s. She has worked as a university professor, psychologist and artist, among other things.
Penny’s art is based on storytelling and on finding the stories suggested by photographic images. She also writes free-form poetry in which the physical spacing of the words is of special importance. In the last few years, Penny has begun making books, marrying both texts and images into stories. One of her most recent books is her book Who is Alice Really, which will be on display at the Wayzgoose. Standing at over five feet high and almost seven feet wide when open, this is a book you just can’t miss!
